Keep new lines for visualized problem descriptions
Added by Evgeny Novikov almost 8 years ago.
Updated about 4 years ago.
Description
When I copy a problem description that is visualized quite pretty, I get a string without any new line.
- Status changed from New to Feedback
In Chrome it is copied with new lines. So the problem is with your browser and I can't fix it.
- Status changed from Feedback to Open
Just one of my browsers demonstrate this behavior - it is Firefox 47.0. But since many users use it we need to support it as well.
BTW, I see new lines when I open the page source. So it is very strange where are they after copying to the clipboard.

We can't support it, only Firefox can. The problem is Firefox doesn't select '\n' when you select text. Or I can replace nicely visualized description with ugly <textarea> (like description on edit mark page) where users can edit problem description (without saving it).

Perhaps due to issue #7311 I can't see this ugly "<textarea>"s at all. Anyway you likely can work around this issue, e.g. when user try to copy something from this field, you can provide them with specially prepared data containing all the required symbols. This can be implemented browser independently. I just not sure that this can be done for some part of a problem description.
