Bug #10612
openView names are not shown for a user
0%
Description
I wanted to hide all marks with similarity zero on unsafe page. I created a view with the corresponding filter, enter a name, successfully save it (the name appeared in the list) and click "Show". The view was definitely applied, as the marks were hidden, but the button view suprisingly changes its name to "View(unsaved)". I opened the view menu again and found that the view is resetted to "Default". Then I found my view in the list (the second option), change it as "preferable", click "show" and nothing changes. So, the marks are still hidden, but the view is "unsaved" and "default" one is chosen in menu instead of my view. It's confusing. Better, to change the name to "View(name)" and show its name in the list.

Upd. The name of the view is correctly shown for the other page. So, if I close the page, where I created the view, and open another unsafe, the view name is correctly shown. But I tried to refresh the first page several times and the view did not updated.

The button "Show" you clicked means "Show view with current set parameters". To show the selected view in the list you should click another "Show" - the button with "eye" icon. Or if you want to load preferred view (after making your view preferred), click button "Show preferred view" with "arrow back" icon. The page preserves your choice and reloading page will not change selected View (including unsaved view). I see nothing to fix here.

OK, I see. It really works, but I cannot imagine, that a normal user found such sequence. Is it possible somehow refactor the view table to remove an extra show button?
For example, move name line to the bottom, remove extra textbox for naming, save button and the confusing secong show with eye. Then you may operate with all views in a single place. Other ideas are welcome.

Anyway, I suggest to treat this later. There are infinite improvements in the UI.

Maybe we will have a chance to see this in Klever 3.1.

I don't think that Vladimir will be able to do these improvements for Klever 3.1.
