Move reference launches database somewhere from the root partition

Description

By default MySQL creates databases and binary logs into "/var/lib/mysql" directory. At the moment reference launches database occupies about 12Gb. And there is just about 40Gb available for the root partion. So when I tried to create a duplicate of this database I got a message that there isn't enough space (together with database creature MySQL also writes huge binary logs). To proceed I'm going to temporarily turn off binary logging but this won't solve the core problem.
